Specialty Services Program
The Drenk Center's Specialty Services Program is a residential program that provides highly structured services in a home-like setting for youth exhibiting high risk behaviors evidenced through aggressive, oppositional, non-compliant and destructive behaviors. Each home houses a maximum of 5 youth at any given time and has at least one "house parent" who acts as a mentor and parent figure for the children. The intensive Drenk treatment team is comprised of a therapist, case manager, psychiatrist, nurse, youth care workers, and the house parent(s).
This program offers a family-like environment and works to build loving attachments as part of therapeutic intervention. The model also includes other key players in the process, including biological parents/family, teachers, peers, and therapeutic staff who all work as a part of the treatment team.
