Drenk Services
Mercer Reunification Services
Mercer Reunification Services (MRUS) is designed to provide Family Engagement and Supervised Visitation services to Mercer County consumers referred by the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS).
Services include:
- supervised visitation
- parenting skills training
- case management
- therapy
- peer facilitated parent support groups
- transition activities
The program seeks to improve families' lives by helping to restore or develop social functioning by promoting positive parenting and by strengthening attachments between children and their caregivers. The goal is to avoid future incidents of abuse/neglect of children and to decrease the amount of time children spend in foster care.
All referrals come from the DYFS Mercer County district offices. Children who have been removed from their homes due to issues of abuse/neglect and are ordered or recommended to have supervised visits are eligible for the program. Families involved with services must be working toward reunification and committed to the process.
Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 9am - 9pm, Friday from 9am - 5pm, and biweekly Saturday hours from 9am - noon, as needed.
