Hainesport, NJ (January 13, 2011) - The Countryside School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) recently collected non-perishable food at its Family Movie Night and donated the food and its profits from the evening to The Drenk Center to help local families in need.
The Drenk Center, a nonprofit behavioral health center serving the residents of Burlington County, will distribute the food to families in need through its Family Success Center program in Mount Holly.
"While the Countryside PTO does a lot of things over the course of the year to raise money for our school, we wanted to try to do something to give back to the community as well so we decided on a Movie Night/Food drive," noted Laura Niedzwiecki, member of the Countryside PTO. "We collected more than 100 food items and also gave all our profits from the evening to the Drenk Center to help the Family Success Center of Burlington County to help those less fortunate in our own community."
The Drenk Center is a private non-profit organization headquartered in Hainesport, Burlington County, NJ. With sites throughout the state, The Drenk Center offers a full continuum of behavioral health services to more than 7,000 children and adults annually. Services include prevention programs, outpatient therapy and psychiatric services, substance abuse programs, emergency and crisis intervention services, therapeutic foster care, residential programs, and case management services.
